The apartment building is located in the heart of Athens, on Normanou Street, in Monastiraki. The apartments have limited capacity, making their redesign an interesting project for shaping the visual and functional conception of the space.
The "Norman2" utilized three levels (A, B & C) transforming the existing shops into residential apartments. The configuration of the apartments has been done with the aim of the optimal use of the space, providing comfort and functionality at the same time. The design approach focused on maximizing the use of the limited space in the apartments through appropriate interventions and design movements. The selection of modern equipment and materials, combined with the neutral tones, creates an atmosphere of comfort and harmony.
As part of the interventions to utilize the dynamics of the space, a loft bed was constructed in one of the apartments, aiming for the functional organization of the layout.
The apartment on the top floor offers a stunning view of the Acropolis, as the unified space for relaxation and sleep engages in a dialogue with the history of the city.
The optimization of functionality and aesthetics evolves simultaneously with the purpose of forming a comprehensive character that reflects the needs of the modern resident seeking comfort and practicality in a limited space.
